First Lady Florence Williams, co-founder
Mother Florence P. Williams was born February 21st in Philadelphia, PA to the late Edward and Florence Plummer. She was raised and attended school in Philadelphia and graduated from John Bartram Senior High School. She has one brother, Edward Plummer who still resides in Philadelphia with his wife Annie and their two children. Mother Williams continued to reside in Philadelphia after graduation from high school, where she met Minister Frank Williams, Jr. "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtaineth favour of the Lord." On April 21st, 1963 they were married in Greensboro, NC. Reverend James Robinson performed the ceremony. Mother Williams and the late Bishop Williams have two sons, Minister Michael Lamont Williams and Dr. Kevin Anthony Williams.
Mother Williams was a devoted, loving, caring and supportive wife to her husband and the ministry that God had assigned to his hands. She was an excellent wife, a great companion and his best friend.
Although Mother Williams supported and stood by her husband until his promotion from this life to life eternal, and continues to support their two sons as a devoted, loving and caring mother, she maintained her own individuality, a strong role model and true leader. She has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. The quality of her actions and the integrity she has is a great example of the kind of person she is, she leads by example and not by force.
